Safety
Be wary and ignore the street panhandlers. They often appear at Penn
Station, Port Authority and Grand Central Terminal. Women should never
leave a purse hanging on a chair in a restaurant and men should carry
their wallets in a front pocket.
Transportation
Transportation is abundant in New York City. Subways, taxis and buses run
continuously. Your concierge at your hotel can advise and outline for you
the locations of your selected transportation and map it out as well. Taxi
drivers expect a 15% tip.
