Treasure Island Hotel and Casino is located
on The Las Vegas Strip, directly adjacent to The Mirage. It opened in the
fall of 1993 and is the Mirage’s sister property. A long, wooden dock
serves as the entryway to the resort. It is here where you can watch "The
Sirens of Treasure Island" show between a group of beautiful, tempting
sirens and a band of renegade pirates, which consists of a staged sea
battle between two ships, on either side of the dock.
This free show is performed six times a night, where the theme is of a British Navy Ship and a Pirate Schooner that cross paths. From there, a battle breaks out, and some spectacular high-diving stunts and pyrotechnics take place…and remember, it’s a free show, so you’ll definitely want to check it out. While evidently luxurious, the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas appeals to younger and more family-oriented visitors. The door handles are in the form of a skull and crossbones, and the ceilings of the resort are decorated in "bone chandeliers" throughout. The pool area is quite large and is located next to the tropical-themed Kahunaville restaurant and bar. Treasure Island has the very popular tri-tower structure, as does Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, and The Venetian. A tri-tower structure on the Las Vegas strip, looks like the letter "Y" from the sky. There are over 2800 guest rooms at Treasure Island that range in price from $79-$329 per night, depending on which room and what time of the year, or day of the week you visit. Of the 220 available suites, prices range from $159 to $2500. Treasure Island in Las Vegas is also home to the acclaimed Cirque du Soleil production Mystère. In our opinion, this incredible production was the best Cirque du Soleil production in the city of Las Vegas. So, yes, even better than the famed "O" at Bellagio….significantly better. If you’re going to Las Vegas to get married, Treasure Island has two wedding chapels for you to choose from. However, you’ll want to keep in mind that they’re located right next to the convention rooms, which will create a big distraction if you have a wedding taking place at the same time. Burried Treasure, Pirate Ships, and lots of fun await you at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. |
