Excalibur

There are over 4000 guest rooms at The Excalibur and room service is available 24 hours around the clock. This resort is absolutely terrific for kids and families that are on a budget. On the other hand if you don’t have kids, this is not a resort we would recommend, nor would we recommend The Excalibur if you want to experience a luxurious Las Vegas vacation. This is a popular hotel that serves it niche market of clientele well.

The casino area is approximately 100,000 square feet with over 2,500 slot machines as well as all of the standard table games. Although we found that the cigarette smoke drifted well beyond the boundaries of the casino which was by no means pleasant, unless you happen to be a smoker.

There are two full-sized swimming pools outside the resort. Great for the kids, as there were many of them out there splashing around in the water and having a great time. Although this isn’t the pool to go to in Las Vegas if you’re trying to meet women....again, this is a kids-themed resort.

For dining, there are 6 different restaurants to choose from, including the "Tournament of Kings" dinner show, which features Medieval Knights and horses and was the most enjoyable part of the resort. There is no better place in Las Vegas to watch a live, medieval joust.

So once again, if you have kids and will becoming to Las Vegas as a family, then we highly recommend The Excalibur. If you don’t have kids, or are looking for a romantic Las Vegas getaway, you may want to try Paris or The Venetian instead.
