The Bellagio Hotel and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas.

Located right on the Las Vegas Strip, the Bellagio opened in 1998 and cost over $1.5 billion to build. The casino takes up over 100,000 square feet and the spa is one of the finest in all of Las Vegas. The show theater at the Bellagio seats approximately 1,800 people where the renowned "O" takes place, which features some of the most incredible water acrobats in the world. "O" has often been touted as the best show in Las Vegas by many critics around the globe, and that says a lot, since Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world.

The Bellagio is one of the finest luxury hotels in Las Vegas. It is best known for the spectacular fountain show that takes place several times throughout the day, and features the fountains that "dance" to the light and music blended into the show.

Titled "The Fountains of Bellagio", it takes place on an 8.5 acre lake, that is wedged between the front of the hotel and Las Vegas Boulevard. Every half hour, the fountains come alive and dance in sync to the music and lights. There are over a thousand single fountains that span 1000 feet of water and shoot straight up to over 230-plus feet in the air. The music in the show varies from classical/opera, to popular and Broadway tunes.

During the day, it gets pretty hot in Las Vegas, especially during the summer months. The Bellagio has spared no expense in this department, as there are six outdoor pools, which are divided into six different themes consistent with Mediterranean villas. You will find olive trees, cypress trees, and climbing vines throught the pool courtyards, and many of them have stone fountains in the center of the pool that have been carved by hand.

When you think of Las Vegas, flowers probably aren't the first thing you think of, since its located in the middle of the Mojave Desert. But if you like foliage, you'll have to check out The Conservatory and Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio. Here you will find a plethera of flowers, trees, and plants that have been arranged in dramatic fasion. In fact, it takes a staff of over 125 people simply to keep up the gardens.

What about the Spa?

One on the premier spas in Las Vegas, called the "Spa Bellagio" is home to a wide range of treatments and massage therapies. Whether you're looking to get a facial or body treatment, the Spa Bellagio in Las Vegas will gladly accommodate you. There are also two seperate rooms for the men and women, including the steam rooms, whilpools, and saunas. There is also an complete excercise room as well.

As far as the accommodations go, The Bellagio offers over 3000 guest rooms as well as 400-plus luxury suites with spectacular views of the lake, The Strip, the Las Vegas skyline, and the surrounding mountains of Mt. Charleston. The theme of each room is old-world European, furnished with Italian marble and fine art.
